Overview
Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund program is responsible for cleaning up some of the nation’s most contaminated land. To protect public health and the environment the Superfund program focuses on making a visible and lasting difference in communities, ensuring that people can live and work in healthy, vibrant places.
Environmental Protection Agency enters contracts and interagency agreements to conduct work at Superfund sites. Environmental Protection Agency can also award Superfund cooperative agreements with states, tribes, or local governments to lead or support work in the Superfund program.
