Pennsylvania Energy Community Virtual Listening Sessions (Washington County)

September 18, 2023 from 10:00 am11:30 am EDT

Hosted by the Interagency Working Group on Coal and Power Plant Communities and Economic Revitalization (Energy Communities IWG)

About the Event

Engaging with Pennsylvania’s energy community stakeholders is a top priority for us. The Commonwealth is home to several communities impacted by the closure or anticipated closure of coal-fired power plants and coal mines. These events require targeted federal investment and technical assistance.

Later this fall, the Energy Communities IWG will host a stakeholder engagement event in Pennsylvania. This will serve as an opportunity to connect energy communities with federal resources supporting the state’s clean energy transition.

In preparation, we are hosting virtual listening sessions with energy communities across Pennsylvania. These listening sessions will provide a platform for local stakeholders to share insights into their community’s challenges, identify opportunities, and share best practices.
