The Second Annual Redeveloping Shuttered Coal Plants Summit

Our Second Annual Summit for ReImagining Shuttered Coal Plants will publicly launch “the handbook” for redeveloping shuttered coal plants and information around turning coal ash ponds from liabilities to assets. Discussions will focus on the potential and challenges in promoting  sustainable development at the sites of former coal plants, including the potential for transforming coal plants into eco-industrial parks making the sustainable products of the future. As always, our focus will be around helping to ensure community stakeholders can have a strong voice in redevelopment planning. Last year nearly 250 people registered for the event, and it launched many important regional conversations and connections, as well as new research and action plans.
