White House Energy Communities Briefing

April 4, 2023 from 9:00 am1:00 pm EDT

The Interagency Working Group on Coal and Power Plant Communities and Economic Revitalization (Energy Communities IWG) is pleased to invite you to join us virtually for a White House Energy Communities Briefing on Tuesday, April 4 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Federal officials will announce new opportunities available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act to support economic revitalization and workforce development in energy communities. These historic, once-in-a-generation investments will help create long-term economic growth and ensure energy communities are not left behind during the nation’s clean energy transition.

Through various stakeholder engagement activities, the allocation of federal resources, targeted investments and technical assistance, the Energy Communities IWG continues to reduce barriers to accessing federal funds and help energy communities address their unique challenges. This briefing will celebrate the two-year anniversary of the Energy Communities IWG’s initial report to the President and highlight accomplishments by the interagency group as part of its ongoing effort to support energy communities.

To join the briefing, click here or visit the Energy Communities IWG homepage on Tuesday, April 4 at 9:00 a.m. ET.
