Overview
READY Nonprofits is a learning track offered by READY Appalachia, the Appalachian Regional Commission’s new community capacity-building initiative offering free training and flexible funding to Appalachian nonprofits, community foundations, local governments, and Local Development Districts.
READY Nonprofits, formerly the Appalachian Nonprofit Resource Center (ANRC), builds off ANRC’s well-established curriculum to help nonprofit executives and board members increase their own capacity, strengthen their organizations, and better serve their communities.
The Fall 2022 term begins the week of September 12 and concludes the week of November 14. Cohorts (groups of three-four organizations) will work with content specialists on one of six topics via online training and coaching during the 10-week period. At the end of the course, participants will have specific takeaways along with access to relevant resources. Six topics are available for nonprofit instruction:
- Board Development
Financial Management
Fundraising
Human Capital: Recruitment & Retention (New!)
Marketing Communications (New!)
Programs & Operations
