Overview
“PHMSA seeks to provide funding to states to reduce damage to underground pipelines. Excavation damage is a leading cause of pipeline incidents in the United States. Since 2008, PHMSA has awarded approximately $22 million in One-Call grants to more than 40 states and state-designated entities to assist with enforcement of state laws and pipeline damage prevention outreach and education efforts.”
