Overview

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this is a forecast regarding an anticipated funding opportunity. Applications are not being sought and will not be accepted at this time and all details provided below are pending approval with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

This forecast is intended to provide preliminary notification for an anticipated funding opportunity for the Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP). Specifically, FHWA anticipates that a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) will be issued on or prior to October 16, 2023, soliciting applications for the delivery of the TTAP in the Western Region.

The TTAP is the Tribal component of the FHWA Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) managed by FHWA’s Innovative Workforce Development (HIT) Team located in the Office of Innovation Management, Education and Partnerships. The TTAP serves American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes (Tribes) with the establishment of regional TTAP Centers. The anticipated NOFO is expected to be issued under assistance listing number 20.215 – Highway Training & Education. FHWA anticipates awarding one (1) cost-reimbursable cooperative agreement for the Western TTAP Center.

The anticipated NOFO is expected to result in the distribution of up to $3,325,000 over the course of the entire period of performance. The actual amount available to be awarded under that notice will be subject to the availability of funds. Should this NOFO be issued, it is anticipated to result in the award of one (1) cost-reimbursable cooperative agreement.
